Camera setting

Set your phone to the highest video quality before recording


Purpose

You record content on your phone. Video quality depends first on device settings. Low resolution reduces clarity, hurts watch time, and lowers trust. This guide shows you how to set your device to the highest quality before recording.


These steps apply to all phones. Screenshots show iPhone 13, yet the same logic applies on Android and newer iPhones.


What you need before starting

Access to your phone settings. Five minutes. No extra apps.



Step 1. Open your device settings


Action

Open Settings on your phone.

A list of system options such as Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Display, Camera. Screenshot reference. Screenshot 1 shows the full Settings list.



Step 2. Open Camera settings


Action

Scroll and tap Camera.


What you should see

Camera options such as Record Video, Record Slo-Mo, Formats, Sound, Composition, Lens Correction.

Step 3. Set Record Video to the highest quality


Action

Tap Record Video.

Select the highest resolution and frame rate available on your device.


Examples

iPhone 13: 4K at 60 fps

Newer iPhones: up to 4K at 120 fps

Android devices: choose the highest resolution and fps listed


Then enable these options if present

HDR Video

Auto FPS set to include the highest values

Lock White Balance


What you should see

The highest resolution selected. HDR enabled. Auto FPS enabled. White balance locked.

Step 4. Set Record Slo-Mo to the highest quality


Action

Go back. Tap Record Slo-Mo.

Select the highest resolution and frame rate available.


Example

1080p HD at 240 fps or the highest available for you 


Result

Your slow motion clips stay sharp and usable.

Step 5. Set audio and format


Action

Set Record Sound to Stereo.

Open Formats. Select High Efficiency.


Result

Smaller files with high visual quality and full stereo sound.



Step 6. Enable composition and correction options


Action

Enable all options listed below if present on your device.

View Outside the Frame

Prioritize Faster Shooting

Lens Correction


Result

Better framing, fewer distortions, faster capture.
